Inclusion at the Olympiastadion Berlin

Just in time for UEFA EURO 2024, Berlin’s Olympiastadion has been modernized – with a significant contribution from goracon.

With our innovative rail system, we have significantly improved on-site inclusion and greatly increased capacity for people with disabilities. The number of wheelchair spaces has been boosted by nearly 55%. Additionally, the newly created seats offer flexible use – accommodating both walker users and guests without impairments.

A key challenge was ensuring a heritage-sensitive implementation. The rails were precisely embedded into the historic natural stone, seamlessly blending into the overall aesthetic. Despite ongoing stadium operations, the project was completed on schedule.
