The Rhineland-Palatinate state parliament is based in the historic Deutschaus in Mainz. The comprehensive and sustainable general renovation of the building was completed in time for the 75th anniversary of the state. The plenary hall with its gallery was also expanded and converted to make it fit for the future, so that it now shines in new splendor.
Future debates will be held on the rising PODIUM floor construction, which required a high level of planning expertise due to its circular geometry and revisability. In addition, the innovative chair guiding system GSF was integrated into the special carpeted cavity floor, which not only enables the delegates to sit ergonomically, but also ensures a tidy overall appearance when leaving the hall. Special design, functional and acoustically effective specifications of the client or architect were implemented in the radial table constructions, the custom-made benches, the special wall covering elements and the fabric-covered loudspeaker panels. For the visitors, a transparent and comfortable ambience was created in the gallery by a combination of parapet-high partition elements and the upholstered folding seats.
"The order for Goracon at the Landtag included many different trades, which were coordinated very professionally among each other. Even in sometimes difficult situations, the cooperation was always constructive and goal-oriented. Many thanks for that."
